OOOOOO KKKKKKK

Sleep all day, cry all night. This guy did not say a word all day yesterday, did not sleep a wink last night, and has not MOVED since the sun came up today. BUT....we'll take it! All systems are go (as indicated by the 4 or 5 outfits we went through last night) and he is doing very well at feeding time. He is really alert and tracking with both eyes (only at night of course), and already knows the sounds of our voices. We can get him to stop crying for 5 seconds with some words of encouragement from across the room as we negotitate on whose turn it is to get out of bed. We will keep you posted. Thanks again to all, the flood of prayers and support continues non stop. God bless you all. Here is a pic of his LSU hat! Geaux Tigers!

  1. I recall you saying that Jude screamed is whole first night home. Am I remembering that correctly?

If he does not get his days and nights sorted out soon, don't dismay. It WILL happen eventually. Gabrielle had her days and nights mixed up for 8 weeks. (No kidding!) And then, one day (after lots of letting her cry it out), she figured it out and was in bed by 6:30 p.m. every night.

Perhaps you should consider investing in some BOSE noise eliminating headphones? We had the luxury of two bedrooms. We took turns in the "quiet" bedroom with a box fan turned up high for noise and a pillow smushed over our ears.

The great thing about a bottle baby is that mom and dad can share night duty. Darren really bonded with our daughter during those really long nights. What was really amazing is that all that time with very little sleep (we each averaged 6 hours every other night), neither of us got sick and we survived every single day.
God really does provide us with all the energy we need. He also provides us with wonderful friends and family who come to the rescue when you just don't think you can go on.
